Dr. Johana Cortés is excited to join the team at Bruner & Roos Orthodontics and looks forward to serving patients and families throughout the Redmond and Greater Seattle communities. Passionate about creating healthy, confident smiles, she is dedicated to providing personalized orthodontic care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Cortés earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine before completing a two-year General Practice Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, where she served as Chief Resident. She later completed her residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Case Western Reserve University and became Board Certified in 2024.
Dr. Cortés enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and families and is committed to creating healthy, beautiful smiles that positively impact confidence and quality of life. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she values creating a comfortable experience for every patient.
Outside the office, Dr. Cortés enjoys traveling, photography, fitness, fashion, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves music, art museums, and is currently learning Japanese in preparation for a future trip to Osaka with her partner.
